Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of MacroFolio (the “Service”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Medical Disclaimer, which are incorporated by reference.
1. Acceptance
You accept these Terms by registering an account, or by using the Service in any other way. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use MacroFolio. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide during registration is accurate.
3. Accounts and security
Accounts are personal and may not be transferred, shared, or used on behalf of a person who does not meet the eligibility requirement in Section 2. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You may enable an additional email verification step during sign in for extra protection.
4. Description of the Service
MacroFolio is a fitness and nutrition accountability platform. It helps you record training, nutrition, body weight, steps, and other health-related activity, and turns that record into consistency scores, trends, and a periodic automated report that reviews your recent activity and offers data-driven guidance. MacroFolio provides automated, data-driven fitness guidance and coaching-style analysis based on the information you provide. It is not a licensed medical, healthcare, dietetic, or clinical service, and it does not replace individualized advice from a qualified professional where health or medical risk is involved. The quality of any guidance depends on the accuracy and completeness of the information you record.
5. Fitness and nutrition responsibilities
Physical training and changes to diet carry inherent risk. You are responsible for assessing your own fitness for any activity suggested or logged through the Service and for exercising within your own limits. The Medical Disclaimer describes warning signs that should prompt you to stop and seek medical attention. Nothing in the Service constitutes a personalized medical or dietary prescription.
6. User-provided data and content
You retain ownership of the information and notes you submit to the Service. You grant MacroFolio the rights necessary to store, process, and use that information to operate the Service for you, including computing your scores and generating your reports. Figures you enter, such as body weight or nutrition totals, are treated as your own self-reported estimates; MacroFolio does not independently verify them. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of anything you submit, and you must not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that violates another person’s rights.
7. Automated reports and recommendations
If you consent, MacroFolio periodically generates an automated report summarizing your recent activity and offering guidance based on it. Reports are produced from the information you have recorded and are generated only when you request one; MacroFolio does not generate reports on your behalf without a request. Automated reports can be incomplete or mistaken, particularly where the underlying data is sparse or inaccurate, and they are not a substitute for professional medical, dietary, or fitness advice. You remain responsible for evaluating any recommendation before acting on it.
8. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to harass, threaten, or impersonate another person; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or to another account; interfere with the normal operation of the Service; or scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the Service. You must not use the Service for any unlawful purpose. You may report conduct that violates this section using the reporting tool available on a member’s profile.
9. Social features
MacroFolio offers optional social features, including friend connections, leaderboards, and challenges. Participation is optional, and each relevant profile field has a visibility setting that controls what other members can see. You are responsible for the visibility settings you choose. Personal notes you write are not visible to other members and are used only to generate your own report.
10. Service availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, add, or remove features from time to time, including in ways that change how a feature behaves, provided the Service continues to substantially perform the functions described in these Terms.
11. Current free access and future paid services
MacroFolio is currently offered free of charge. We may introduce paid plans or premium features in the future. If we do, participation will be optional, the applicable terms and pricing will be disclosed before any charge applies, and reasonable advance notice will be given for any change affecting existing users.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account from your settings, which permanently erases your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect other members, the Service, or to comply with a legal obligation. Where practicable and lawful, we will provide notice before doing so.
13. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, software, and content we create (excluding information you submit), is owned by MacroFolio or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use MacroFolio’s trademarks, branding, or proprietary content outside of your ordinary use of the Service.
14. Third-party services
MacroFolio relies on service providers to deliver certain features, including providers that assist with automated analysis and providers that host and operate the systems the Service runs on. Their processing of your information is described in the Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for services or content that are not part of MacroFolio, even where a link or reference to them appears within the Service.
15. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind regarding the Service, whether express or implied, including as to accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that scores, targets, or automated reports will be error-free or suitable for your individual circumstances.
16. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, MacroFolio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service, or for outcomes resulting from decisions you make about your training or nutrition. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or liability that would conflict with a mandatory protection available to you under the law of your place of residence.
17. Mandatory consumer rights
If a mandatory consumer protection law applicable in your place of residence grants you rights that these Terms would otherwise limit or exclude, those rights remain available to you, and these Terms apply only to the extent consistent with them.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are resident. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be subject to the jurisdiction applicable under the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, without prejudice to any mandatory right you may have to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page, and the date shown at the top will be revised. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
